As British lamb is at its delicious best for only a few short months of the year, we look further afield to the Southern Hemisphere – primarily New Zealand – to meet the demands of our customers for an uninterrupted supply of finest quality lamb and mutton all the year round.
New Zealand is the natural choice for its temperate climate, superb sheep rearing grassland and, most of all, for the world leading expertise of its top brand producers. From decades of experience sourcing the vast majority of our lamb supplies from selected NZ producers, we know that nobody does it better. Their packaging and labelling is second to none, with the reassurance of totally consistent product quality inside every box. And as a large proportion of our lamb and mutton goes to catering butchers and specialist wholesalers supplying the restaurant trade, we also choose New Zealand lamb for the assurance of supplies from Halal licensed abattoirs backed up by full certification.
